Before James Parkinson there was no Parkinsons Disease, right? He created it. Before him nobody had even heard about Parkinson`s Disease. But what if we could change history? Michael James Fox travels back to the year 1817 to convince James Parkinson not to invent the terrible disease, only to discover that agent 007 James Bond is already there on the same mission. Michel J. Fox joins the two but Mr. Parkinson seems bent on publishing his book “An Essay on the shaking palsy” and thereby inventing the disease. Can the two of them rid the world of Parkinson`s? This is a rather weird silent film that we made just for fun. All actors have Parkinson`s.

The images played crucial role when Norwegian health authorities decided to implement the Dutch concept “ParkinsonNet” in our healthcare system.

“This is Parkinson´s” challenges the 140 years old image of the stooped Parkinson`s disease patient. It is an image Thet no longer serves the patient community, inspire the scientific or challenge the medical and political. We need real patients to stand forth, with pride. The images have been on display in cities across Europe and the US.
